Seaweed soup
20 min · serves 3
Dried seaweed swells several times over, so do not soak more than you need. The pot mostly looks after itself.
Ingredients
- 20 g Dried miyeok seaweed
- 150 g Beef sirloin
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1200 ml Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper
Method
- Soak the seaweed in cold water for 10 minutes, rinse it and cut it into 5 cm lengths.
- Slice the beef thin and season it with 1 tbsp soy sauce and the pepper.
- Heat the sesame oil in a pot and fry the beef with the minced garlic for 2 minutes.
- Add the seaweed and fry for 2 more minutes so it takes up the oil.
- Pour in 1.2 litres of water, bring it to a boil, then simmer for 8 minutes.
- Season with the remaining soy sauce and the salt, then taste and adjust.
